April 21- April 22: The Floor

Julie and I both got to work with Joe and Eric to put down the floor for the next level of our house on Friday and Saturday of this week. We used 2"x6" tongue and groove pine for this floor. It looks real, real good. Which is real nice, since it will also be exposed as the ceiling of the first level of our house.

The first day of flooring was beautiful. Sunny and warm. Eric is all smiles, though he better watch where he's swinging that hammer. Not surprisingly, it started to rain as we were finishing the floor on the second day. It seems to rain a lot in Vermont in the spring. We got it done though. As you can see, it looks real good from below.
