Happy Mother's Day
Julie's present WAS to be the rain barrel, but in fact turned out to be a car cleaning. What was supposed to be a quick vacumning prompted by the hauling of a couple bails of straw yesterday turned into an archeological dig of epic proportions. I should preface by mentioning the "suggestion" I received last week on cleaning out the (admittedly) cluttered van that I drive around. Here is a (small!) sampling of the treasures I observed this morning, in and around the red Jetta:
- 71 cents, mostly in denominations of pennies and nickels
- enough refundable pepsi bottles to bring this total well over a dollar
- mapquest directions to parts unknown, having been in the car long enough to develop a tint of mold
- enough McDonald's french fries to constitute a decent snack, especially coupled with the several peanuts and M&M's.
- ticket stub from a Detroit v. Minnesota baseball game, circa Aug 8, 2006.
- several to-do lists and receipts pertaining to last falls construction projects.
- enough match-box cars to run a nascar event
- 8 pounds of Oakley fur
these are just some of the more interesting items. All of these items will be available free to friends and family, before they are put up for sale on ebay.
