We made it!

We passed bank inspection this morning! We still have some small things left to do on the house, but we're free to close on our loan and work around the house at our own leisurely pace. It was a busy last week full of electrical work, trim, shelving, hooking up appliances, installing door knobs and other minor things. Now we can relax a little bit. Well, maybe after we move in THIS WEEKEND!

This was a huge endeavor for us. We're so glad we did it, but we haven't had a free weekend in over a year, nor have we seen or spoken to most of the friends and family that might be reading this. Thanks to everybody who helped us get to this point!! Of course, we wouldn't even have begun this project if it wasn't for Joe, and we certainly never would have finished it, and it definitely wouldn't look as beautiful as it does. He sacrificed more than anyone to get us this far. Also, we would never have finished it on time without Eric and Nate, who both spent weeks and months working here for next to nothing. All the weekend help and babysitting done by Judy, Dave, Deb and Sarah was a huge help, and we couldn't have finished without that support either. And to everybody else who came and spent time pitching in over the last 12 months, we love you, come visit, beers are on us!
