Taping

I got the tape and first coat on most of the upstairs drywall. And started a second coat on the main open area. Taping drywall has to be one of the least fun jobs in building a house, but I listened to four novels on CD last week while I worked, and it passes the time better. We had a lot of the tongue and groove pine left over from working on the ceiling, so I decided to use it to panel one of the walls of Evie's room as well. All that time saved in finishing the drywall will be well worth the part of a day it took me to put it up. Finishing the drywall and getting the upstairs is probably THE biggest task left before we can close on the loan. That and the hardwood floors, and cabinetry, and hanging doors, and a lot of trim....
