slate on the sunporch

Today we made our initial foray into the wide, wide world of tile - laying slate on the sunproch. Dad and I got started just after lunch, and 100 lbs of thin set and six hours later we have about 170 of the 210 tiles needed to cover the porch floor.

Dad estimates that it will take two more good days to finish the sunporch, as well as tile the kitchen and foyer.
