Next up: taping
Aaron here. As Julie mentioned, it's been a busy couple of weeks on the house. In just two weeks, we've put the pine tongue and groove on the ceiling of the second floor, framed the rooms on the second floor (much more time consuming than normal framing due to the slanted roof line), and finished up all the drywalling. The latter was just finished today, followed by a couple hours of cleaning and sweeping the upstairs in preparation for taping. That will begin in earnest tomorrow, and should consume the better part of our lives for some time.
You can see the hallway and outside of our bedroom in the first picture, with the openings for stained glass like Julie said. Next to our room is our big opening down to the first floor. Eventually we'll have a set of bookshelves that line the two open sides of the holes, as well as the back wall of the study, which is an open area located on the other side of the opening. You can see the study in the third picture. Evie's room also shares that end of the house (on the left).
