More landscaping
I spent a day doing some more tidying up around the land. Scot, who also did our excavation, backfilling and septic, had left us several hardwood logs last year after he had cleared the land for our new house. These were piled up at the edge of what will be our back lawn, so I had to get them out before I could turn this area into lawn. God bless Joe's tractor, as moving the wood was infinitely easier with the machine than a wheelbarrow. And a wheelbarrow doesn't have a convenient cup holder to store your Dunkin Donuts coffee. Now there a massive pile of cut wood sitting in the woods near my house, just waiting for someone to split it.
We've also now got most of the far back clearing (near the septic tank) seeded and mulched. I had to spread a little more dirt to make it more even, but it's getting there. The top of the septic mound seems perfect for a putting green, and I could practice my chipping to get the ball up there.
