Which way to the beach?

Spent a little time with the kids and our friend Pam and her baby Alice at a beach in Groton State Park on Friday. Until we get hit by a torrential downpour. We got to the beach, set up our chairs and blankets, and Evie (never one to be shy), immediately left us to go join another family. Sat right down and started playing like she was ready to adopt them. To be fair, the other family was much better prepared with fun beach toys and stuff, but still. AJ also had a fun time. He didn't really want to go in the water, but he spent a lot of time sitting on the beach dumping handfuls on sand on his own head.
