4th of July weekend

We went to NY to visit grandparents for the holiday weekend, taking a little break from working on the house. It had been a while since we were all home, I personally hadn't been home since Thanksgiving. It was nice trip, and I got the chance to spend a little time helping Joe and Dad around their respective homes. Evie and Joe spent some quality time flying a kite on Saturday. There wasn't much wind, but they got it to fly intermittently.In another "bad place to put your bird nest", my parents had a wren(?) nest on a decorative wreath hanging on their front door. Doesn't seem like a great idea, but it was neat to watch the baby birds from inside the house, pressed right up against the glass. Evie loved it.
