Nature's wrath

A couple of weeks ago, Evie and Julie found a robin's nest in the vines surrounding the gazebo in our back yard. It's been a big deal for the girls in our house, they go out and look at the egg's once each day to see if there is any progress. The nest even made an appearance on Sarah's blog last week. Yesterday the eggs started to hatch, and Julie took a picture of the holes the chicks started making from the insideToday, unfortunately, the nest was bare. And slightly tipped to the side. I'd guess that baby chicks are a little more noisy than eggs, and some varmint was attracted to the nest for a tasty snack. Four feet off the ground is not a great place for a nest.In other sad news, the Yanks are 2.5 games behind the Sox, with the Blue Jay not far behind.
