cloudy with a chance of snow

I love Vermont, I really do. I especially love it in the Spring and Autumn. Last year, Autumn lasted until about Jan. 1, when the ground was still free of snow, and not even frozen yet (I know because we were still digging then).

This year winter has had no mercy. We received our December bill for plowing our driveway and little shared road yesterday. Let me preface by saying that the guy who plows are road is very reasonably priced; he plows whenever we get more than 4" of snow, and doesn't plow twice in a storm unless we get at least 10" or so. Our December bill was $283. That's right, two hundred eighty three dollars and zero cents. Leading to a near aneurysm and the consumption of a couple home brews last night. Which one of these things do you think might be true:

A. We should have built a house in Florida
B. I picked the wrong line of work and should be a plow driver in Vermont
C. I should have tried to do my part to stop global warming BEFORE the erratic weather patterns started
D. I should try to be as crazy as Christian and shovel the entire road by hand
E. All of the above

The pictures are stolen from the internet by the way, not from Montpelier.
