Dennen
While I do feel committed to doing more blogging, I have not been swayed by Sarah's decision to do daily posts for National Blog Month. Since I sit here at my work computer for eight hours a day, five days a week, I've been making a strong effort to stay away from the computer on nights and weekends. I feel better for it, though it makes me question our decision to pay Comcast so much money for cable.
The kids went to their Grandparents Slack for the weekend so that Julie and I could get some necessary work done around the house. We stained the interior of lots of windows on Saturday, and a little on Sunday too. We also took advantage of being kid-free to go out, two nights in a row! Saturday we went to see Brett Dennen at Higher Ground in Burlington. I've raved about him before here, but I don't mind doing it again. He's been my new favorite since Jed and I went to see him a few months back and he impressed on Saturday as well. I'm not computer smart enough to put the actual songs here on the blog, but if you go to this site, you can listen to a few:

It was also neat to have Vermont's own Mike Gordon come out and play a duet for the encore, in front of only a few hundred people. He must be a fan himself.
