Harvest party
Aaron here again. I don't want anyone to get the idea that I'm just making Julie do all the work. In addition to providing delicious organic veggies for several months each year, our local CSA has a harvest party at the end of the season. Great pot luck event with food prepared by the NE culinary institute and games and live music and surprisingly beautiful weather. Joe and I left work early on Sunday to attend with the rest of the family, including my adopted son, Jed. We got there a little late. Fortunately there was lots of food left. Unfortunately the keg was almost gone.
Evie entered into the sack race. She didn't exactly wait for the "ready, set, go", and decided to get a head start on the competition. She then turned around, dumbfounded that no one had actually started the race with her. I feel like everyone else was looking at me wondering why I was taking pictures instead of taking control of the situation. It should be noted that Julie WAS standing right behind her at the starting line.
