New blog to check out
Some of you friends and family have gotten a chance to meet Randy and Stacy Brown, and their kids Jenna and Gus, who live down the street. We got to know the Browns when we were building the house;l Randy does masonry part time when he's not busy teaching VT high schoolers about computers and physics. Randy built our chimney and hearth for us. Their kids are about the same age as ours, particularly Gus, who will be in class with AJ for about the next dozen years. The Browns are wonderful folks, and right up there among the best people that we've befriended since we moved to VT four years ago.
Randy and Stacy have decided to take at least a year off from their jobs to spend some time abroad. Randy decided to pursue a job as a project manager for a new international school being built in Bamako, Mali, West Africa. We'll miss them while they're away, and I'm also more than a little jealous of their opportunity to explore life abroad. They've set up a blog to chronicle their travels, which I added to our links at the right. I watched Jenna and Gus for a few hours the morning that they left, so that Randy and Stacy could finish getting ready to go. We went hiking in Hubbard park and got a couple good pictures.
