my report in is!

For the past few weeks I have been working almost exclusively on a report to the Vermont Legislature that was required by Act 43, as described in this earlier post. Our report was delivered on-time (no small feat) and hit the ground running, with our Communications Director issuing a press release asking the Legislature to repeal Act 43. All of this has since received quite a bit of media attention, including stories that ran on northeast public radio and vermont public radio on Friday, and a less-than-favorable bit in this morning's Burlington Free Press.

I am hopeful that we will be successful in our efforts to repeal Act 43, which I genuinely believe is misguided. I am also hopeful that all of this will settle down in relatively short-order, so that I can get back to my actually job - helping to implement programs and practices to improve water quality in Lake Champlain.
