Over the summer, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Matt picked a lot of strawberries. Lucky for us, they froze a bunch and then brought them along so that we all might enjoy strawberry shortcake over the holiday weekend. Sarah graciously allowed her two-year old nephew and four-year old niece help make the shortcake (although the photos seem to suggest she at times began to question her own judgment)...
It tasted exceptionally good, and presumably the baking killed off anything that might have been inadvertently "added" to the mix.
