Time to catch up a little
We've been conspicuously absent for another week long stretch here. We'll get some pictures up here shortly, just didn't want anybody thinking that we forgot about you. Things that happened in the last week:
- Yankees sweep the Sox in NY, take wild card lead. Seattle is fading fast, as I thought they would. Would like to win the division, but that's a large stretch. Detroit may get it together, but I feel good about our wild card chances. Hope that Cleveland end up with a better record than Anaheim so that we don't meet the Angels in the ALDS. They always seem to hammer us.
- Helped Sarah and Matt move from the farm in Natick to a horse farm in Walpole. They made an enormous upgrade in the size and appeal of their residence, while managing to maintain the same rent while be required to do much less work around the property. Score. Christian, Julie and I headed to the Boston metro area last weekend while the kids were at various grandparents for a few days.
- Got a new car (Subaru, like 50% of the rest of the cars in VT). Julie's Jetta has proven to us that it can't make it up our road/driveway in winter, regardless of the tires we give it. It was time to upgrade to AWD.
- Turned 31, thank you very much. Was treated to Chipotle burritos for dinner on Saturday night to mark the occasion.
Joe and Judy are in town for a few days. I've got big ambitions for working around the house this holiday weekend. Will be back with pictures soon, promise. Happy Labor Day.
