I took a week of computer vacation last week. Now I'm back on the job.

Don't look now, but the Yanks are riding a 6 game winning streak, they're down to single digits behind Boston, and 5.5 back in the wild card race. Those are the Yankees I remember, usually getting strong pitching performances, and putting up 10 runs on days when the pitching can't come through (like yesterday).

Summer's here in VT. Chris left his kayak here at the house while he tries to get himself settled into being a Vermont resident (he found a house to rent in Barre, and moves in a couple weeks from now). We had a picnic down the road at the Wrightsville reservoir, and Julie and I took turns scouting the waters. Evie and AJ just splashed around and got everything wet. The reservoir is a great spot, very quiet, with a couple small ponds you can paddle into from the main lake. If anyone wants to donate a canoe and fishing equipment, I'm taking donations.
